companies for putting respect, caring, and appreciation for its employees at the center of its business model. The results wee determined after surveying more than 1.4 million employees from businesses with workforces varying in size from 50 to more than 10,000.

Background

Courtney Jorgensen, SVP HR and Talent Development, at DFIN, and her team embarked on a transformational journey five years ago when the company underwent significant leadership and organizational changes. Their focus shifted to the establishment of an aspirational employee value proposition (EVP).

  There were 5 main areas where Jorgensen and the team at DFIN were able to make big strides in workplace culture by using the Workplacely platform.

Embracing Employee Sentiments and Emotions:


In 2020, amidst increased hiring and the shift to remote work, DFIN sought a reliable measure of employee sentiment and emotion.  It chose the Workplacely platform and the Most Loved Workplace® survey, due to the in-depth insights that it could capture.

Leveraging Most Love Workplace® Insights:


DFIN’s initial steps involved enhancing its employer branding with the Most Loved Workplace® certification, and the team immediately grasped the value of the survey insights and the Workplacely platform.  Jorgensen’s team extracted and presented employee comments, and summaries of employee sentiments and emotions, and shared them in presentations among the executives and the entire organization.

Actionable Data Leading to Transformational Talent Strategies:


With nearly 1,800 employees, DFIN took the Most Loved Workplace® data as a compass, validating and enhancing existing talent strategies. Feedback gleaned from the survey offered insights into which offerings employees found most valuable.  These Insights, like the importance of 401k matching and employee stock purchase options, directly influenced talent strategies.

DFIN isn’t just stopping at data collection.  It was able to use insight from the Workplaceley platform to validate pushing forward with Action Plans  Regular engagement initiatives like ‘Cocktails & Conversations’, virtual office hours, and frequent one-on-one meetings between managers and employees are strengthening employee connections, and their love for DFIN.
